Once a week
January 18th, 2009 |I’m starting to do a lot of things recently, and it feels good getting more out of my spare time than just sitting around, playing the computer and watching movies. We do have a gym in our office that is free to use, and while I was planning to work out a little since I started working at Superfund in May 2008, I never actually did it.
That changed this week. Tuesday & Thursday have been my first days, and what I found out is that I really need that workout. Like really bad. On tuesday I couldn’t do more than ten minutes running, about one kilometer. What a wreck that body is.
And, as suggested in my current read, I’ll have a new drink every week, expanding my knowledge about the various kinds of alcoholic beverages out there. Lucky enough there’s a bar around the corner of my apartment that serves decent cocktails, for only €4 during happy hour. I’m already afraid of the Bloody Mary. I tried it once, but couldn’t drink it. This time there’s no getting away from it, though.
To top off the list I’ll be taking Salsa-lessons, as our office christmas party and some silvester dancing revealed that I could really use some catching up in the that kind of stuff, too. Let’s see how long all those plans last, I usually tend to be a fast paced changer of habits, but all these are long-term things that wouldn’t make much sense to quit soon.
