Once again; everything new
April 5th, 2008 |Yep, I’ve been unhappy with my blog layout long enough. Eventually I found the time and motivation to get this one up and running, and I proudly call it “colors are for foumarts”. After all this not only is a design that comforts reading (if you’d like the font size to be bigger, just hit APPLE + on a Mac, or STRG + on a PC to increase it), but further more one that more reflects my personality.
With it comes something new: Pages. Wooohooooo! Yep, pages. See top right (the underlined characters show a shortcut – try hitting your CTRL-key and the underlined letter) to investigate what’s there. Also new is – due to my new N95 – a mobile-version. So if you have a smartphone or a pda try browsing over here and hopefully you’ll see the mobile version (feedback on that is highly appreciated, since I can only test on my own device).
After all I’m quite happy with the results and pretty confident that this look will last for quite some time now. I also went through the pain of rearranging all posts’ tags, plus sorting them into categories. After each post you’ll now find a list of suggested “related posts”, so you might stumble upon one of my older gems of ingenious wisdom. You’ve been warned.
I heavily tested this layout on various browsers, namely:
- PC – Internet Explorer 5.5 (some link-colors and backgrounds are wrong)
- PC – Internet Explorer 6 (check!)
- PC – Internet Explorer 7 (check!)
- PC – Firefox 2 (check!)
- PC – Safari (check!)
- Mac – Internet Explorer 5 (check!)
- Mac – Firefox 2 (check!)
- Mac – Opera 9 (check!)
- Mac – Safari 3 (check!)
If you’re experiencing any problems please let me know, I’m a freak about compatibility and I’ve gone through too much pain and cried too many times while developing this theme to now allow any major flaws. Yep, that’s about all I have to say right now. It’s time to catch up with some sleep, today we’ll be at a J.B.O. concert and this will require some being-refreshed-ness. Cheers!
