A quick Tip: Recover damaged PDF-Documents
April 11th, 2008 |As of recently I reworked my portfolio and while browsing through some of the older stuff I stumbled upon a few pdf’s I couldn’t seem to open anymore. Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator all three wouldn’t read the file but quit with “this document is broken”.
By accident I discovered that OS X’s preview could open those documents, so I just tried the stupid thing: Open it in preview, “save as …”, try opening with Adobe-stuff. And tada, worked like a charm.
